The clients are supplied
with drawings for their approval or can supply drawings
of
their own.
Once design specifications
have been settled 1:1 scale drawings are made
Stone is quarried to
specific block sizes, delivered to the carving studio,
and walls of the specified size are constructed.
Tracings of the scale
drawings are made and then glued to the walls.
Reliefs are carved
through the tracings, excess paper is removed, and
the artist etches in the final details and puts
on the finishing touches . Each piece is cleaned of
any excess powder with a soft dry brush and a sealant
is applie
Carvings are dismantled,
blocks are individually numbered and packed, and delivered
to the installation site.
Note: A
small amount of extra stone is sent with each piece,
and a quantity of matching grout filler is included
at no extra
charge. When walls are finally installed the grout is
used to fill the hairline cracks between the blocks
to give the
appearance of the carving being constructed of one solid
stone.
